Welcome to Day 5!
You are doing great! How are you enjoying the music, the website, your juice? Hang in there–a great aspect of this hero’s journey you are on is that you get to keep adding in more great things to your life every day. Your body is getting cleaner, your understanding of nutrition deeper, your chances of growing ill before your time, slimmer, and the opportunities that await you–greater! We are pleased that you have been reading the files, drinking fresh juice, and that you are building your determination and persistence.
An Embarrassing But Useful Illustration
When I (David) was in college, one of the requirements for graduation was 2 semesters of physical education. In the interest of exerting as little energy as and having as much fun as possible in fulfilling the requirement, I took an Introduction to Ballroom Dancing course. I figured, having been in sports my whole life and being reasonably coordinated, the class would be easy and enjoyable.
After a week of classes it was decidedly my reality that I was a terrible dancer–and to make matters worse, the women of the campus knew it much to my dismay as a still single young man. With each class, I stepped on the feet of every woman I danced with, and suffered humiliations galore. Soon I began to dread going to Ballroom Dancing; however, not wanting to drop the course, or worse yet, fail, I struggled on in an earnest effort to pass for a respectable novice.
About mid-way through the semester I was in class still stepping on feet, watching my own ineptitude in horror as my partner raised her shoe and stepped away. I recognized that the worse I felt and the more I struggled with “getting it right” and seeing my every mistake, the more I stepped on my partner’s feet and required beginning anew. I resigned myself at that moment to mis-stepping for the time being, but dancing to the best of my ability and to continuing on faithfully to the music instead of stopping.
Within minutes a miracle happened! I recognized that missteps or not–it was all dancing! It was at that point that I soon began to really dance, and the “mistakes” I was making came to an end.
Learning to Juice Feast is a similar reality. You will not Feast perfectly. There is no perfect Feaster.
There is a great intention to Feast to the best of one’s ability, however, and to keep moving ahead with all the love and positive intentions for well-being one is capable of mustering. Your ability to love yourself, to cleanse, to heal, and to fast will improve beyond measure with time. The Juice Feasting Course is provided to help guide you in the process – and there are some proper dance steps which are very important that you are picking up right now!
When you come honestly to the realization that it is all dancing and match that realization with the greatest intentions for your well-being, you will be beautiful/handsome and skillful on the dance floor.
Just keep drinking fresh juices in sufficient quantity at regular intervals – and only fresh juices!
There are two main points with the downloads today:
1. We set events, seen and unseen, into motion just by the nature of our thoughts.
2. Excellent thoughts and choices lead to more excellent thoughts and choices.
At this time, we are providing you with some of the best information on nutrition and human health, in order that you can think the best thoughts possible in this regard. You are making for yourself some of the most excellent food available for your health and well-being – information for your body – “thoughts,” if you will, for your physiology. The information (reading and food) and your physical/mental/emotional/physiological experience of it will lead to more superior choices and events. Look over the Reading file you received on Day 1 and inspire yourself to take on more great things every day and in every opportunity.
Protect Your Senses – Positive Diversions
As you chart your course through this program, protect your senses whenever possible – and reinforce great thoughts through reading and re-reading, avoiding media when possible (TV is programming, and often not in the best interest of your solidity and positive thinking), and maintaining a regular and concerted practice of drinking the best food your body can access. I have provided the Positive Diversions aspect of this program, because of our natural – and encouraged – tendency to RUN when our great potential is opening up, or when we are met with temporary difficulties.
Philosopher Soren Kierkegaard once said, “Our greatest fear is knowing our own true potential.”
The Positive Diversions list is included to honor your desire to run, but here is the kicker:
When you feel like running, RUN – but run to the best thing possible.
Generally, when we feel like running, we run to what we have been pre-programmed to run to: television, bars, restaurants, unhealthy relationships, etc. We now have the opportunity to re-program ourselves, not to avoid running, but to things that advance our capacities, not diminish them. This is a truly worthwhile and honorable path, and will pay off immensely.
One positive diversion is watching great stuff on T.V., and to that end, I have two great possibilities for you. Lastly, excellent food choices lead to more excellent food choices. Excellent habits create a fertile ground for more excellent habits. Excellent decisions lead to more excellent decisions. Add to the positive diversions list and do some state-changing activities that add value, meaning, and joy to your life now and far on down the road!
